Referrals

Who we call.

Electricians, plumbers, HVAC techs, roofers and septic contractors in Lafayette, IN and Tippecanoe County.

There's work we don't do — septic, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing. Some of it needs a license we don't hold. Some of it needs a specialist and a truck full of the right parts.

These are the people we actually call. Not a directory, not a paid listing, and not a list scraped off a ratings site. If a name is on this page, we've worked around them on a real job and we'd have them back.

What it takes to get on this page

Electrical

Panel, service, terminations, permits

We'll do the layout, cut the holes, pull the cable through the joists, mount the boxes and patch the ceiling after. Everything that gets connected to a panel is theirs.

Slot 1 — openFirst electrician we complete a job alongside. Name, what they're best at, and one line on why we'd have them back.

Slot 2 — openA second option matters — one shop is a single point of failure on a schedule.

Slot 3 — openOptional. Three is the most a homeowner will actually call.

Plumbing

Supply, drain, gas, water heaters

We'll swap a toilet, a faucet or a disposal on connections that are already sound. Moving a line, repairing a flange, anything in the drain or gas system — that's a licensed plumber.

Slot 1 — openPriority hire. Plumbing is the most common trade our jobs touch.

Slot 2 — openIdeally one who does small residential work without a minimum that scares people off.

Slot 3 — openOptional.

HVAC

Furnaces, AC, ductwork, thermostats

We can build the chase, frame the soffit and pour the pad. The equipment, the refrigerant and the ductwork are theirs.

Slot 2 — open

Roofing

Tear-off, replacement, leaks, flashing

We don't work on roofs. Not a licensing question — it's a fall-exposure question, and we'd rather send you to people who do it every day with the right rigging.

Slot 1 — open

Slot 2 — open

Septic

Pumping, inspection, repair, new systems

Common out past the city limits and badly understood by most homeowners until something goes wrong. Worth having a name before you need one.

We don't take a referral fee.

Nobody on this page pays to be here, and we don't get a cut of what you spend with them. If that ever changes, it'll say so on this page, in plain language, before the list does.

The reason is simple: the minute a referral is worth money to us, it stops being worth anything to you.

Note for build: if Google ratings are displayed alongside these names later, they must be sourced through the Places API server-side, refreshed on a schedule, and shown with the attribution Google's terms require — never scraped, and never fetched from the visitor's browser with an exposed key.
